Hughes joined Beacon Software, Inc. in 2004 and has been instrumental in the development of the Compass Internet Banking product. She is responsible for the Product Development and Customer Support for Beacon’s Compass Internet Banking™ suite of products.

Prior to joining Beacon Software, Inc., Hughes developed a bill presentment and payment web application for WDNet, Inc. She has also performed development work for companies such as Lockheed Martin and GE Power Systems. At GE Power Systems, Hughes was responsible for developing and maintaining the Product Service Intranet site and worked in GE’s digitization effort which led to significant cost reductions. At Lockheed Martin, Hughes worked on web-based software for the monitoring, maintenance, and administration of wireless devices.

Hughes began her technical career at American Intercontinental University as an instructor for web programming, utilizing a number of languages and technologies.

Hughes earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and a Masters Degree in Information Technology from AIU.
